AMMANISM VERSUS ISLAM
One of the distinctive features of our time is, the people belonging to misguided sects and Munafiqeen are in majority in many places of the world. Also, they are in power in most of the Muslim countries of the world. Dictators, Monarchs and politicians in power in Muslim countries use iron hand to suppress public opinion to strengthen their hold on power. They call themselves progressive Muslims and make fun of people who remind them about Islamic values and the Life after Death. They have no fear of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and are not worried about Allah's (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) wrath in this world and Azaab in Hereafter. They use religion to expand their power horizons and exploit people in the name of Islam. These are end times and Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) had cautioned us about this scenario in many of his narrations.
(i) It is in Hadith - Umm Malik says that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) explained the fitnahs (end time tribulations) in detail. I said Ya Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) : Who will be the best person in the times of these tribulations? Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) said : The best person will be the one who lives with his livestock, pays his Zakat and does Ibadah of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ), and that person who holds the head of his horse frightening the enemies of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and the enemies frighten him. (Tirmidhi).
(ii) It is in Hadith - The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) said : "Set about doing (good) deeds before trials engulf you (in the end times) like a portion of a dark night (when) a man commences his morning as a believer but becomes a disbeliever by (the) evening or is a believer in the evening and morning finds him a disbeliever. He sells his religion against a little of this world (worldly gains). (Muslim, Book of faith, # 118; Tirmidhi, Book al-Fitan # 2195; Ahmed, Vol 2, p 390).
(iii) It is in Hadhith - NarRated Hudhaifa bin al-Yaman (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ): The people used to ask Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) about good, but I used to ask him about evil for fear that it might overtake me. Once I said, "O Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)! We were in ignorance and in evil and Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) has bestowed upon us the present good; will there be any evil after this good?" He said, "Yes." I asked, "Will there be good after that evil?" He said, "Yes, but it would be tainted (polluted) with Dakhan (some evil)." I asked "What will its Dakhan be?" He said, "There will be some people who will lead (people) according to principles other than my tradition. You will see their actions and disapprove of them." I said, "Will there be any evil after that good?" He said "Yes, there will be some people who will invite others to the doors of Hell, and whoever accepts their invitation to it, will be thrown in it (by them)." I said, "O Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)! Describe those people to us." He said, "They will belong to us and speak our language." I asked, "What do you order me to do if such a thing should take place in my life?" He said, "Adhere to the group of Muslims and their Chief." I asked, "If there is neither a group (of Muslims) nor a Chief. (what shall I do)?" He said, "Keep away from all those different sects, even if you had to bite (eat) the root of a tree, till you meet Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) while you are still in that state." (Bukhari Book # 56, Hadith # 803 and Muslim Book # 20, Hadith # 4553).
(iv) It is in Hadith - Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) said : “Jews got divided into seventy one groups and Christians got divided into seventy two groups and my nation will get divided into seventy three groups. All the groups will be in Hell except one. They asked: “Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) which one is it? He replied: “Those who will remain on the path on which I and my companions are today.” (Abu Dawood, Ibn Majah, and Ahmad - There is another similar narration in Tirmidhi)
Currently, there are three major deviant groups and their innumerable sub Groups who oppose Sahih Iman in the world. These are Shias, Salafis, and Ammanis. We have written many books on these 3 major groups.
This book is the first part that provides details about the beliefs of Ammanis. We have clarified in the light of Quran and Ahadith that the beliefs of Ammanis are not Islamic. We hope this book will be very useful to Muslims all over the world.
Ammanism is also known as Perennialism or Perennial philosophy which has its roots in Platonism, the philosophy of Plato (427-347 BC). Perennialism is also known as 'Universalism' or 'Traditionalism'. This is based on the philosophy that all religions are truthful and you follow any religion, you will get salvation in Hereafter. In Indian sub-Continent, this thought is known as 'Sulah-e-Kulli'.
WHO ARE AMMANIS
Towards the beginning of 21st Century (in 2004-05), a new sect emerged among Muslims. They are known as 'Ammanis'. The founder of this Sect is King Abdullah II of Jordan who started this sect in 2004-05.
Amman Message was initiated in 2005 by King Abdullah II of Jordan. For this purpose, a Conference was convened by him in Amman, Jordan, in July 2005 in which 200 scholars, mostly from 72 misguided sects, were invited. It was reported that the over 200 Conference attendees endorsed King's initiated Document known as 'Amman Message', in which, Schools of thought of all Sects, like Salafis, Deobandis, Ikhwan, Shias, Ibadis, and hundreds of their sub groups, were declared as Islamic and the followers of all 73 sects and their hundreds of sub groups were declared as true Muslims.Later, in the same year 2005, the King issued another declaration 'Amman Interfaith Message' in which Christians and Jews were declared 'believers' (Momineen) on par with Muslims'.
King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia (left) and King Abdullah II of Jordan (right) are seen together during Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) conducted on 7-8 December, 2005, in Makka, Saudi Arabia to support Amman message initiative.
Obviously, this was a political drama, produced, directed and enacted on the instance of Zionists/Salafists and their well wishers. The King played his role as Director and Lead Actor very well. The Saudis worked very hard to bring all 56 countries of Oganisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) under their control.Utilizing the huge funding and support from Saudi Arabia and others, Amman Message was promoted through the following means; (i) Inter-Islamic treaties. (ii) National and international legislation using the Three Points of Amman Message. (iii) Publicity through advertisements, publications and multi-media, in all their aspects, in spreading Amman Message throughout the world. (iv) Teaching of Amman Message in school curricula and university courses worldwide. (v) Making Amman Message part of the training of Mosque Imams and propagating it via sermons in mosques and other Islamic gatherings.
Salafis have a lot of experience in spreading Salafism in the world using their Petro-Dollar wealth. Now they have embarked upon changing Islam altogether by spreading Ammanism.
In 2012, an Ammani Shaikh, declared King Abdullah II of Jordan as Khalifa-e-Islam. Nazim Al-Haqqani claimed that 10 countries have been given to the King on which he will immediately rule as a Khalifa. These 10 countries consists of those where Zionist/Salafists conspired revolutions had taken place; like Libya, Syria, Egypt, etc. He encouraged the King to enter Syria and capture it immediately. Watch the following video clip in which Nazim al Haqqani is giving the Message of his Baya to King Abdullah II of Jordan as Khalifa-e-Islam. The Shaikh informed his followers that he has kissed the feet and hands of the King and they (all his followers) should do the same.As we have described above, King Abdullah II of Jordan is regarded as Khalifa-e-Islam of Ammanis.
Ammanis are attempting to replace Islam with 'Ammanism', a Universal Cocktail of all Religions. They claim that all 73 Sects and their sub groups are true Muslims. They also claim that Christians, Jews and Buddhists are 'believers' on par with Muslims.
Picture shows Ammani Scholars sitting with their founding Imam, King Abdullah II of Jordan after their 16th Conference in 2013. They urged Islamic Countries to implement Ammani Laws.
On April 28, 2015, 'The National', UAE Newspaper reported that Ammani Scholars declared Islamic Laws as outdated.
Abdullah bin Bayya, is the President of an Ammani 'Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies' (منتدى تعزيز السلم في المجتمعات المسلمة) based in Abu Dhabi, UAE called for reassessment of outdated Islamic laws in order to change the fundamentals of Islamic science as its rulings are no longer applicable in modern society. The forum also claimed that only a select few scholars (who have signed and who support Amman Message) are authorized to change the fundamental laws of Islam.
Ammani Scholars are a big threat to Islam these days. They use what's known as the 'The Common Ground' logic, which, though simple enough on the face of it, is highly deceptive and goes directly against the core teachings of Islam. According to Ammani Common Ground Logic, everyone who believes in the existence of one God, irrespective of his actual perception and understanding, is a "believer". This way the followers of Bábism, Bahá'í Faith, Cao Dai (Caodaiism), Cheondoism, Christianity, Deism, Eckankar, Hinduism Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Judaism, Mandaeism, Rastafari, Seicho no Ie, Sikhism, Tengrism, Tenriism, Yazidism, Zoroastrianism, are all believers.
Let us look at the progress they have made in this context.
(i) In 2004, Ammanis declared people belonging to 72 deviant Sects as true Muslims.
(ii) In 2005, Ammanis declared Christians and Jews as 'Believers', just like Muslims'.
(iii) In 2010, Ammanis declared Buddhists as 'Believers' and Buddhism as a true religion. Read their following declaration.
"After a number of meetings in Jordan between His Highness the 14th Dalai Lama and His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad (Chief Adviser of King Abdullah II of Jordan), a true and profound 'Common Ground' believe in one God) between Islam and Buddhism has been formally recognized. It was recommended that the Islamic scholars should help Muslims to see Buddhism as a True Religion or Deen, and Buddhists to see Islam as an authentic Dharma."
(iv) In February 2008, a Hindu-Jewish Religious Leadership Summit was held in Israel in which it was declared that there is a 'Common Ground' (believe in one God) between Jews and Hindus, therefore, Hindus are covered in the people who believe in one God. The Summit also clarified that Hindus' worship of their innumerable Devataas by making their idols, is not idol worship.
Since Ammanis consider Jews as 'believers' on the basis common ground logic (believe in one God) and the Jews consider Hindus as 'believers' on the same 'common ground logic', Hindus are also treated by Ammanis as 'believers' on par with other 'believers' like Muslims, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, etc. For Ammanis all religions are authentic and lead to salvation.
(v) In December 2016, Ammanis declared Qadiyanis / Ahmadis as Muslims and invited them to the Ammani 'Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies' (منتدى تعزيز السلم في المجتمعات المسلمة) Conference held in Abu Dhabi in December 2016.
Needless to say that Ammanis are misleading people with their 'common ground' (belief in one God) logic. If their logic is accepted, then Makkan Pagans also come under 'believers' as they believed in Allah.
[Meaning - "Say, Who is it that gives you all sustenance from the sky and earth, governs sight and hearing, brings forth life from the dead and death from the living and plans the affairs of man? They will all say Allah" (Younus - 31).
Then what was the need for Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) to preach Islam to them?
Compilation of an Ammani Quran was started in 2005, after the declaration of Amman Message. After 10 years work, the new Ammani Quran titled 'Study Quran' was published by HarperCollins publishers, New York, in 2015.
The 'Study Quran' was published in line with Christian Bible and Jewish Torah/Talmud. It does not contain verses of Quran in Arabic. One has to read only English version of Ammani interpretation of Quranic verses.
An Ammani/Perennialist team of scholars headed by Dr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr, an Iranian born Shia scholar, currently based in the United States, was chosen for this purpose.
Ammani/Perennialist Sufis' have infiltrated into many Sufi orders in the world. They treat Sufism as a religion, independent of Islam. They claim Sufism predates Islam. Nazim al-Haqqani, Dr. Taher-ul-Qadri and many others who have signed Amman Message belong to this group.
The famous Khalifa of Nazim al-Haqqani, Shaikh Hisham Kabbani, who lives in US, wrote on his website '' as follows:
Wherever he goes, he spreads the (Perennialist) Sufi teachings of the brotherhood of mankind and the 'unity of belief in God that is present in all religions and spiritual paths'. His efforts are directed at bringing the diverse spectrum of religions and spiritual paths into harmony and concord.
Dr. Nasr, seen in the picture with Dalai Lama, is a Perennialist in the school of. He was a student of Guénon’s famous disciple Frithjof Schuon who established the Maryamiyya branch of Shadhili order in Europe and North America.
Maryamiyya is a perennialist Sufi Order. The founder of this order, Frithjof Schuon (1907-1998), born in Switzerland, also known as Sheikh Isa Nooruddin Ahmed, was a Universal Guru in the tradition of Plato, Shankara and Eckhart. He claimed that Virgin Mary appeared to him in a vision in 1965 and authorized him to establish this order.
Schuon has written many books. Most of his books are available on Amazon.
As we have described above, Dr. Nasr, a student Frithjof Schuon, is the author of Ammani Quran titled 'Study Quran'. Dr. Nasr and his Perennialist team have interpreted Quran in such a way that the readers will start believing 'Perenialism or Ammanism' as Islam. The following are the important features of this Quran.
(i) It is claimed by the Publishers that this book is written with an aim to be part of the syllabi of all Universities/Educational Institutions in the world who are giving courses in Islamic subjects. It is written from Christians/Jews and non-Muslims' point of view. Dr. Nasr and his team treat Quran as an Object with its own voice. They do not treat Quran as the word of God, as believed by Muslims.
(ii) The traditionalist/perennialist language used in the book is extremely misleading. After reading this book, one will be more inclined to accept all religions as authentic. Some essays have been included in the back of the book that lead people to believe in pluralism; meaning all religions are authentic and followers of all religions will get salvation in Hereafter. Particularly the essay written by Joseph Lumbard (a member of Dr. Nasr's team who wrote this book) entitled 'The Quranic View of Sacred History and Other Religions' is note worthy in this context.
(iii) The explanations in this book lead one to believe that the belief in Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) is optional, not essential for Muslims to get salvation in Hereafter. Only the belief in one God is sufficient. Even the belief in Quran itself, in compliance with its injunctions and conformity with Islamic Sharia, is not compulsory for individuals living in the post Muhammadan world. With this understanding, the readers of this book will surely renounce Islam as taught by Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) altogether and will embrace Ammanism / Perennialism as their religion.
(iv) There are many misinterpretations in this book that are aimed at converting Muslims into Ammanism. Some of these misinterpretations are given below.
(a) Kharijites have not been refuted for their outrageous beliefs, rather their beliefs have been diluted to exonerate them from disbelieve.
(b) The book does not reject the Christian belief of trinity; rather it is misinterpreted in such a way that the reader starts endorsing the Christian Trinity belief.
(c) The Quranic emphasis of sodomy and punishment of the people of Lot (عليه السلام) has been diluted to lead people to believe that there is a difference between consensual sex and forced sex and the people of Lot (عليه السلام) were not punished for sodomy per se, rather they were punished for their overall crime, particularly their pedophile tendency.
(d) The issue related to Zina and its Hudud punishment has been diluted in the book to an extent that people start believing that what Muslims practiced for hundreds of years was based on the misinterpretation of earlier scholars of Islam.
(v) All Ammani scholars have endorsed this book. Shaikh Hamza Yusuf, Co-Founder of Zaituna College, California, an Ammani scholar in US, endorsed this Quran by saying "this is perhaps the most important work done on the Islamic faith in the English Language to date.
ISLAMIC BOOKS TO BE CONTROLLED BY 'US STATE DEPARTMENT'
On September 25, 2017, newspapers reported that US State Department will control Islamic books taught in Universities, Schools and Islamic Institutions all over the world. For this purpose an agreement was reached between Saudi Arabia and United States.
Ever since Wahhabis/Salafis came to power in Arabian Peninsula in the beginning of 19th century, they have been involved in changing Islamic literature to spread Wahhabism in the name of Islam.
Wahhabis/Salafis had published a Wahhabi Quran titled 'The Noble Quran' by changing the meanings of the verses of Quran. They also changed almost all Ahadith books and distributed them all over the world. For this purpose King Fahad Center was established in Madina. Saudi Arabia. Through this center, they have distributed over a million copies of this Quran all over the world for the past 70-80 years.
It is now clear that Wahhabis will abandon Wahhabism and embrace Ammanism. In collaboration with the United States Government, they have started a new campaign to change Islamic books further and spread Ammanism in the world. For this purpose, a Center has been established in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to write new Ammani books to spread Ammani faith in the world in the name of Islam.
It is reported that Saudis and Americans jointly will retrieve all Wahhabi books presently taught in schools and Universities in Saudi Arabia and other places around the world. These books will be replaced by new Ammani text books to be published by the Center in Riyadh.
Watch the following video clip.
Followers of Ammanism try to convince Muslims that they are promoting peace in Muslim society by treating everyone as true Muslim. Many people do not realize that in the guise of stopping hate and bloodshed among Muslims, Amman Message promoters are attempting to change the basic beliefs of Islam and replace it with Ammanism.
Currently, Dr. Taher-ul-Qadri is on the forefront of promoting Ammanism in the world.
(i) The Scholars who have joined Ammanism, argue that, by signing Amman Message, they are trying to unite Muslims under a single umbrella.
What is this single umbrella? This is Ammanism. They should know that this action on their part is against the commandments of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and His Apostle Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم). The Ammani scholars should know that they are misleading Muslim Ummah. Their actions will have catastrophic effects on Muslims of the world as they are replacing Islam with "Ammanism" in which everyone is considered a true believer irrespective of his faith. Ammanis should realize the seriousness of this issue. They have to show their face to Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) tomorrow.
As far as Unity among Muslims is concerned, the only way to achieve it, is all Muslim sects should come back to the Straight path of Islam. This will not only bond them together in this world, but will help them in their salvation in Hereafter. The Unity depends upon Islamic faith as per Quran and Ahadith. Therefore, all Muslims should be counseled to hold on to the rope of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) firmly.Sahih Iman is the key to Muslim's revival in the world. Until people come back to the straight path of Islam, their humiliation, torture and disintegration in this world in the hands of Zionists/Salafists and greedy rulers will not stop. In addition, they will have to face the ignominy in Hereafter as they will be summarily thrown into hell fire as hypocrites and non-believers. You have left the path of Islam, therefore Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) has left you to suffer in the hands of your enemies and selfish rulers. You are facing Azab in this world. Know it well that a bigger Azab is waiting for you in Hereafter.
(ii) Ammani scholars and their followers say that we should not call anyone Kafir in the world because it creates hatred and scares people away from Islam and Muslims. This practice does not help in achieving unity and peaceful co-existence among the people of different faiths and ethnic backgrounds in the world.
Who will disagree with the above? Indeed, it is important that we should not tell a person, you are a Kafir, or he is Kafir on his face, in a hateful manner. We should definitely try to propagate Islam by mild words as far as possible. But, at the same time, we must have correct faith in our hearts. If you claim that the people of different faiths are true believers by misinterpreting Quranic verses and Ahadith, then you will become Munafiq (hypocrite) in the eyes of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and Apostle Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم). And we all know, a Munafiq is worse than a Kafir because Munafiqeen will be in the lowest part of the Hell Fire. Good preaching is a different issue. Sahih Aqeedah is a different thing. We cannot mix up both these things to please Zionists and Salafists to earn some Dollars and invite Allah's (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) wrath.
(iv) Ammani scholars claim that whoever proclaims Shahadah is a Muslim. They also quote certain Ahadith in this context and emphasize that everyone from all 73 Sects and their sub groups should be treated as true Muslim.
Indeed, a person who proclaims Islamic Shahadah and his beliefs are as per truthful Islamic faith based on Quran and Sunnah is a true Muslim. However, authenticity of this declaration depends upon his actual belief. Because Iman is concerned with the belief in heart.
It is in Quran - يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ - أُولَـٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ (O Apostle - صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ! let not those grieve you who strive together in hastening to unbelief from among those who say with their mouths : We believe, and their hearts do not believe. Those are they for whom Allah does not desire that He should purify their hearts; they shall have disgrace in this world, and they shall have a grievous chastisement in the hereafter.) ( Al-Maaida - 41)
It is in Hadith - Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ), I heard Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended" (Bukhari, Book # 1, Hadith # 1).Muslims offer Salah in congregations. In congregation Salah, they form rows and physically it looks that the person in the back row, is prostrating to the person in the front row. But intention of the person is taken into account. Since the intention of the person is that he is prostrating to Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ), therefore Salah is valid and is an Ibadah. Similarly, it is the intention of the person in Islamic belief (Sahih Iman) that makes him a Muslim. This is the reason, the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ) said that out of 73 Sects, only one Group is on the right path and the rest will be thrown in Hell Fire.
When Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and His Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) have already declared who is Muslim and who is not, and it has been communicated to us in Quran and authentic Ahadith that only one Group is on the right path of Islam and the rest of 72 sects are dwellers of Hell, then how come anybody claims that all sects are Muslims? This kind of stand shows the fearlessness from Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and His Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم). These so called scholars and politicians are treating Islam as fun and past-time, and are exploiting religious sentiments of people to gain political mileage and earn a few Dollars.
[And leave alone those who have taken their ‘Deen’ as a sport and past-time, and have been deluded by the life of this world. Nevertheless, you go on admonishing them by reciting the Quran to them, lest any person should be seized because of his own deeds; and that too, at a time, when there would be no protector, no helper, and no intercessor to rescue him from Allah; when no conceivable amount of ransom would be accepted from him. This is because such people shall be seized in consequence of what they themselves had earned.] (Al-Anaam - 70)

Also one has to accept the work undertaken by the Institute and show unequivocal faith in their approach. No one can be a 'Fellow' of this Institution if he does not believe in their work.
WHAT IS THE ISLAMIC THOUGHT OF THE ROYAL AAL AL-BAYT INSTITUTE
The Islamic thought propagated by the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute and the kind of work they are doing is available on their official website. They have clearly mentioned that Amman Message is the essence of their Islamic thought.
Amman Message declares followers of all sects; Salafis, Shias, Ibadi Kharijis, Deobandis, Ikhwan and everyone else (all 73 sects and hundreds of their sub groups) are true Muslims. No one is allowed to declare any of these sects or subgroups as deviant or out of Islam. In addition, Amman Interfaith Message declares that Christians, and Jews are "Believers" on par (just like) with Muslims.
The Royal Aal Al-Bayt Institute is the venue from which Amman Message was launched in 2004-05. For this purpose, a Conference was convened by King Abdullah II of Jordan in July 2005 in which 200 scholars, mostly from 72 misguided sects, were invited. It was reported that the Conference attendees endorsed King's initiated Document known as 'Amman Message', in which, Schools of thought of all Sects, like Salafis, Deobandis, Ikhwan, Shias, Ibadis, and hundreds of their sub groups, were declared as Islamic and the followers of all 73 sects and their hundreds of sub groups were declared as true Muslims.Later, the King issued another declaration, also through the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute, known as 'Amman Interfaith Message' in which Christians and Jews were declared 'believers' (Momineen) on par with Muslims'.Since 2005, the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute is conducting annual Conferences highlighting the importance of Amman Message.Ammanism is a unique universal cocktail religion. We find scholars belonging to all sects, like Salafis, Shias, Deobandis, Ibadis, Ikhwan and even some claimants of Ahle Sunnah as its adherents. The identification of these scholars and their followers is that, they follow their sects teachings; at the same time they consider all Sects and their followers as true Muslims. And they also believe Christians and Jews as "Believers" on par with Muslims.
SOME IMPORTANT POINTS
(i) Followers of all 73 Sects in Muslim community knows that only one Group among Muslims is on the right path of Islam who will be rewarded Paradise and the rest will be thrown into Hell Fire. The irony is, every Group claims that his Sect or his sub Group is the saved group (Firqa an-Najiya), who will be rewarded Paradise and the rest are the people of Hell.
Anybody who has some common sense, will laugh at the above claims. How is it possible that everyone, with their varied beliefs, could be on the right path of Islam, particularly when authentic Ahadith confirm that 72 sects are the dwellers of Hell?
Similarly, any sensible person will also laugh at the Amman Message which claims everyone belonging to every sect or its sub Groups is a real Muslims and everyone is saved.
Therefore, even a layman in religion will understand that Ammanis' combo perception of blending of all religions into one "Ammanism" is against the commandment of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and Prophet ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ).
(ii) Some Ammanis present a Hadith mentioned by Ibn Kathir in his Tafseer of verse 32, Sura Fater to claim that followers of all sects are true Muslims. We are providing below the Tafseer Ibn Kathir of verse 32, Sura Fater for our readers.
Ali bin Abi Talhah (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) reported that Ibn Abbas (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) commented on the verse: ثُمَّ أَوْرَثْنَا الْكِتَـبَ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا [Then We gave the Book as inheritance to such of Our servants whom We chose. ] "This refers to the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ). Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) caused it to inherit every Book that He had revealed; those who wrong themselves will be forgiven, those who follow a middle course will have an easy accounting, and those who are foremost in good deeds will enter Paradise without being brought to account.''
Abu Al-Qasim At-Tabarani reported from Ibn Abbas (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ) said one day - شَفَاعَتِي لِأَهْلِ الْكَبَائِرِ مِنْ أُمَّتِي (My intercession will be for those among my Ummah who commit major sins.)
Ibn Abbas (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ), said, "Those who are foremost in good deeds will enter Paradise without being brought to account; those who follow a middle course will enter Paradise by the mercy of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ); and those who wrong themselves and Ashab Al-A'raf will enter Paradise by the intercession of Prophet Muhammad ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ).''
It was also reported from a number of the Salaf that those among this Ummah who wrong themselves (sinners) are still among those whom Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) has chosen, even though they are imperfect and fell short. Others (Kharijis) said that those who wrong themselves (sinners) are not part of this Ummah and are not among those whom Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) has chosen and who inherited the Book. The correct view is that they (the sinners) are also part of this Ummah.
The gist of the above is that all sinners are part of the Ummah and they will eventually be forgiven and will be taken out of Hell.
To commit a sin is different from not having Sahih Iman in the heart. If you do not have Iman in your heart, all your good deeds are futile. And anyone having Sahih Iman equal to the weight of an atom will eventually be forgiven and taken out of Hell.
(iii) Some Ammanis present another Hadith mentioned by Ibn Kathir in his Tafseer of verse 72, Sura Maryam to claim that followers of all sects are true Muslims. We are providing below the Tafseer Ibn Kathir of verse 72, Sura Maryam for our readers.
It is in Quran - ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا [Then We shall save those who had Taqwa (Sahih Iman). And We shall leave the wrongdoers (those who do not have Sahih Iman) in it, Jithyya (Hellfire)]
(From Tafseer Ibn Kathir) - When all of the creatures passed over the Hellfire, and those disbelievers and the disobedient people who are destined to fall into it because of their disobedience, Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) will save the believers (who have Sahih Iman) and the righteous people from it because of their deeds. Therefore, their passing over the bridge (over the Hell) and their speed will be based upon their deeds that they did in this life. Then, the believers who performed major sins will be allowed intercession. The angels, the Prophets and the believers (Awliya Allah) will all intercede. Thus, a large number of the sinners will be allowed to come out of Hell. The fire will have devoured much of their bodies, except the places of prostration on their faces. Their removal from the Hellfire will be due to the faith (Sahih Iman) in their hearts. The first to come out will be he who has the weight of a Dinar of faith (Sahih Iman) in his heart. Then, whoever has the next least amount after him. Then, whoever is next to that after him, and so forth. This will continue until the one who has the tiniest hint of faith (Sahih Iman) in his heart, equal to the weight of an atom. Then, Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) will take out of the Fire whoever said "La ilaha illallah (Muhammadur Rasulullah),'' even one day of his entire life (Meaning he had become Muslim for all practical purposes), even if he never performed any good deed (meaning he was sinner). After this, no one will remain in the Hellfire, except those it is obligatory upon (those who do not have Sahih Iman) to remain in the Hellfire forever. This has been reported in many authentic Ahadith from the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ).
The gist of the above is that all sinners are part of the Ummah and they will eventually be forgiven and will be taken out of Hell.To commit a sin is different from not having Sahih Iman in the heart. If you do not have Iman in your heart, all your good deeds are futile. And anyone having Sahih Iman equal to the weight of an atom will eventually be forgiven and taken out of Hell.
(iv) Some Ammanis present the following verses to claim Christians and Jews as 'believers on par with Muslims'. They claim that on the basis of these Quranic verses, they cannot do 'takfeer' of Christians and Jews (declare them as unbelievers). But they forget that the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ) himself has declared them as such.
[Meaning - Lo! Those who believe (in that which is revealed to you O' Muhammad - صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabaeans - whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and work righteous - surely their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.] (Al-Baqara - 62)
(b) It is in Quran - كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ ۗ وَلَوْ آمَنَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُم ۚ مِّنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ ( Meaning - You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah. If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are perverted transgressors.) (Aal e Imran - 110)
They also claim that since they do not know who, among the Christians and Jews are 'Momineen', therefore, they do not want to do 'Takfeer' of anyone among them. They are preaching that Christians and Jews of the present day should not be regarded as unbelievers. In other words, they should be treated as "believers" on par with Muslims.
Look at them, how they are fooling around by misinterpreting the Quranic verses. Read the following Hadith.
(c) It is in Hadith - It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) observed: By Him in whose hand is the life of Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), he who among the community of Jews or Christians hears about me, but does not affirm his belief in that which I have been sent and dies in this state (of disbelief), he shall be but one of the denizens of Hell Fire. (Muslim Book 1, Hadith # 284)
Therefore, the correct understanding of the Quranic verses (al-Baqra 62, and Aal e Imran 110) mentioned above is; the people who had Sahih Iman during the life times of their Prophets and beyond until the advent of Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) will be rewarded as per their good deeds. Like the Jews who really believed in their Prophets' teachings, as it was taught to them by their prophets during their life times and later, before the advent of Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), will get reward for their righteous deeds. Similar is the case with Christians. However, after the advent of Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), they are required to believe in the Sharia brought by Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم). If they reject, they will be treated as Kafirs/Mushrikeen.
Read following Quranic verses to understand this issue in its right perspective.
[Indeed those who say: 'Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) is the third of the Trinity' became unbelievers. There is but One God. If they do not desist in what they say, a painful punishment will afflict those of them that disbelieve.] (Al-Ma'ida - 73)
In the above verse, Christians are clearly regarded as Unbelievers (Mushrikeen) who will enter Hell for painful punishment. There is Ijma (consensus) of all Muslim scholars on this for the past 1400 years. Meaning, for all practical purposes, Christians are treated on par with other non-believers (like Hindus) in the Court of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) because of their persisence in polytheist trinity beliefs.
If Christians and Jews change their faith and believe in the existence of one God (not in Trinity), as described in Quran, and also believe in Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) as the seal-of-Prophets and obey the Islamic commandments, then they can be treated as "Believers".
(e) It is in Quran - وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ابْنُ اللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ اللَّهِ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ قَوْلُهُم بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ ۖ يُضَاهِئُونَ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَبْلُ ۚ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ [ The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ), and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ). That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! ] (At-Taubah - 30)
The above Quranic verse says "Allah's (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) curse be on Christians and Jews", then how come King Abdullah II of Jordan calls them "Believers on par with Muslims"? Definitely this is against the commandments of Quran and Ahadith.
(v) Some Ammanis claim that all Muslim sects are true Muslims, only the difference is their grade of kufr and deviancy. This is a strange logic. Kufr is Kufr, whatever type and whatever grade it is. The so called Ahle Sunnah scholars (who have signed Amman Message), including Nazim, Yaqoubi, Jifri, etc., have criticized and did takfeer of Salafis/Wahhabis on many occasions in the past. Shaikh Nazim is reported to have cursed Wahhabis at times. However, it is strange that at one hand they claim Salafis are out of Islam, and on the other they claim that they are true Muslims.
Most of the so called Ahle Sunnah Ulema who signed Amman Message, including Shaikh al-Yaqoubi, Shaikh Nazim and his famous deputy Kabbani, openly supported Salafi terrorists' carnage in Syria. Shaikh Nazim even asked his so called Khalifa-e-Islam, King Abdullah II of Jordan to go and win the war in Syria. People are bewildered. These scholars, particularly Shaikh al-Yaqoubi, Shaikh Abdullah bin Bayyah and others pleaded US and Nato to bombard Syria, like what was done by Nato in Iraq and Libya where over 2 million innocent Muslims were mercilessly massacred, many of whom (about half million) were children. The Ammani scholars and Haqqanis are openly supporting Salafis in their terror on Muslims in the world, but in front of their followers they accuse Salafis of everything evil on Planet Earth. This is a strange double talk to keep their supporters happy.
If you side with Salafi Terrorists who have killed millions of innocent Muslims for the sake of some petro dollar funding, you are on a wrong path. If you associate yourself closely with Ammanis and accept a worldly King, full of vices; who is the Imam of Ammanism as Khalifa-e-Islam, you have sided with wrong people. And you have chosen wrong people as your companions. The law of Islam is very clear.
It is in Hadith - Prophet Mohammad ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ) said: “A person is on the religion of his companions. Therefore let every one of you carefully consider the company he keeps.” (Tirmidhi).
(vi) Some scholars claim that the followers of 72 deviated sects, may enter Hell for their wrong beliefs and deeds, but will be taken back from Hell later? They claim that anyone among the 72 deviant sects (other than Ahle Sunnah wal jama'a) whose deviance has reached to the degree of Kufr, will surely stay in Hell Fire for ever. But those whose deviance has not reached to the degree of Kufr, will be taken out of the Hell Fire after certain period.
The real issue is "Sahih Iman". Anyone having Sahih Iman in his heart will surely enter Jannah. His belief should be as per the commandments of Quran and Sunnah.
(1) But, if you say Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) is one, but consider Him to be a planet size human like Idol (monster) sitting on the sky, then this Iman is not worthy of consideration to get you out of Hell.
(2) Similarly, if you say you believe in the Prophet hood of Prophet Mohammad ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ), but you disrespect him and his Ahle bait openly, get involved in blasphemy, then this Iman will not be acceptable.
(3) If you say you believe in Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and His Apostle ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ) but you disrespect and abuse and accuse Sahabah, then this Iman will not be acceptable.
(4) If you are Muslim, but you also claim the Ulema who have done blasphemy/disrespect of the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ) also as Muslims, then this Iman will not be helpful for you to come out of Hell. If you misinterpret Quranic verses and Ahadith and confuse people, this kind of Iman will not be acceptable to Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ). Similarly, hypocrites' (Munafiqeen) Iman will not be acceptable in Hereafter.
(5) Similarly, Attestation of Amman Message, declaring Salafis/Shias/Ibadis and like minded as true Muslims; and also declaring Christians and Jews as 'believers' (Momineen) just like Muslims is against the commandments of Allah and His Apostle Mohammad. If you try to confuse people to legitimize Ammanism by academic arguments, by misquoting statements of Imams of Ahadith/Fiqh, then you are walking on a very dangerous path. Nothing will work for you in Hereafter. If you are a well known scholar, it will not help. If you belong to Ahle Baith (Syed), it will not help. If you are a famous shaikh with thousands of Murideen, it will not help. Sahih Iman is the essential requirement for our salvation in Hereafter. If you lose Sahih Iman, you have lost everything; in this life and also in Hereafter.
It is important that people strive and know about Sahih Iman in the company of a Shaikh of Ihsan. This is the safest way to lead yourself to success in this life and in Hereafter.
Let us see what authentic Ahadith say in this regard.
(a) We have provided Ahadith in Arabic and English to facilitate our readers to know the exact position.
Look at the wordings of the Ahadith. (Seventy two sects will be in Hell and one will be in Paradise)
The wordings of the other Hadith are Here the emphasis is given to the fact that "everyone will be thrown into Hell, except one Group who are on the right path of Islam.
The wordings of the Ahadith show there is only one Group who are real Muslims and the rest are the dwellers of Hell. The wordings of the Ahadith do not give any indication that they will be taken out of Hell. When Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and His Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) are calling them as dwellers of Hell, meaning non-Muslims, then how come 200 scholars belonging to these misguided sects who have signed Amman Message claim that they are all Muslims and will be in Jannah. Even Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhist and everyone says that after their deaths, they will be in Paradise?
(b) Some people claim that the wording of the Ahadith of 73 sects says: وَتَفْتَرِقُ أُمَّتِي عَلَى ثَلَاثٍ وَسَبْعِينَ مِلَّةً كُلُّهُمْ فِي النَّارِ إِلَّا مِلَّةً وَاحِدَةً ( My Ummah will get divided into seventy three groups. All the groups will be in Hell except one). Therefore, they claim that all 73 sects are part of Ummah and are Muslims. Anyone who claims these sects as out of Islam, is himself out of Islam.
Look at the following Hadith in Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) talks of these sects and says that "They will belong to us and will speak our language, but whoever listens and accepts their invitation will go to Hell along with them. Then the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) says : "Keep away from all those different sects, even if you had to bite (eat) the root of a tree, till you meet Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) while you are still in that state." (Bukhari Book # 56, Hadith # 803 and Muslim Book # 20, Hadith # 4553).
We have provided this Hadith below in Arabic with its English translation.
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) said :
[Yes, there will be some people who will invite others to the doors of Hell, and whoever accepts their invitation to it, will be thrown in it (by them)." I said, "O Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)!
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) is warning us "The sects are inviting Muslims to the doors of Hell and whoever accepts their invitation to it, will be thrown in it.
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) also warns us forcefully to 'keep away from these sects'.
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) did not say to declare all these sects as Muslims; as is done by AMMAN MESSAGE. He warned us to stay away from them.
(c) Some people present a letter of Shaikh Ahmed Sirhindi (r) to support their argument that 72 sects will be in Hell for some time and later will be taken out.
SHAIKH AHMAD SIRHINDI'S (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) LETTER
We have provided below full text of Shaikh Ahmad Sirhindi's
Volume 3, Letter # 38 - Written by Shaikh Ahmad Sirhindi (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) to Mulla Ibrahim (one of his Murideen).
It explains the Hadith which informs that this Ummah will part in seventy three sects:
TEXT OF THE LETTER
QUOTE - It is declared in a Hadith that this Ummah will part into seventy three sects, seventy two of whom will go to Hell. This Hadith informs that the seventy two groups will be tormented in the fire of Hell. It does not inform that they will stay in torment eternally. Remaining in the torment of Hell-fire eternally is for those who do not have (Sahih) Iman; ie., it is for the disbelievers.
The seventy two groups, on account of their corrupt belief, will go to Hell and will burn as much as the corruptness of their belief. One group, the seventy-third, will be saved from Hell fire because their belief is not corrupt. If among the members of this one group there are those who committed evil deeds and if these evil deeds of theirs have not been forgiven through Tawba or Shafa'at, it is possible that these too will burn in Hell as much as their sins. All of those who are in the seventy two groups will go to Hell. But none of them will remain in Hell eternally. Not all of those who are in this one group will go to Hell. The seventy two reported groups of Bidda, which will go to Hell, should not all be called "disbelievers", because they are Ahl-e-qibla. However, of these people, the ones who disbelieve those Islamic tenets that are indispensable to be believed, as well as those who deny those rules of Shariah which every Muslim has heard and knows become disbelievers. The savants of Ahle Sunnah declare : If a Muslim's statement signifies a hundred meanings, ninety nine of which causing disbelief and one showing that he is a Muslim, it is necessary to take this one meaning, thus saving him from the state of disbelief". Allahu ta'ala knows the truth of everything. His word (Quran) is the most reliable word. UNQUOTE
What is the most important thing mentioned in the above letter?
The letter states - Remaining in the torment of Hell-fire eternally is for those who do not have (Sahih) Iman; (meaning) it is for the disbelievers.
Who are disbelievers (kafirs) as per the letter?
As per the letter, the disbelievers are - "The ones who disbelieve those Islamic tenets that are indispensable to be believed, as well as those who deny those rules of Shariah which every Muslim has heard and knows. "
What is the difference between 'corruption of belief' and 'disbelieve'?
Corruption of belief could be related to a person (belonging to Ahle Sunnah) who thinks that it is sufficient for him to be Muslim for the name sake; or nothing will happen to him even if he does not perform Salah or does not take care of many of the Islamic obligations. He does not mind religious open mix up with non-believers and focuses his attention only on his worldly pursuits without regard to Haram or Halal. Irrespective of his glaring disregard for Islamic values, he thinks that he will enter Paradise or will not be subject to grave torment (punishment). For such people, Shaikh Sirhindi says in his letter :
"If a Muslim's statement signifies a hundred meanings, ninety nine of which causing disbelief and one showing that he is a Muslim, it is necessary to take this one meaning, thus saving him from the state of disbelief".
Corruption of belief cannot be related to the basic belief in Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), because as per the statement of Shaikh Sirhindi (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ), "Islamic tenets that are indispensable to be believed, should be believed (in their perfect sense). Otherwise a man becomes a disbeliever (Kafir)".
We know about Salafis and their like minded groups. They believe in a Sky Idol God who resembles like human beings and who has a monster like physical body and is physically sitting up there in the skies. They prostrate in front of this monster-like Idol five times a day.
For the past 100 years they are continuously killing Muslims in different parts of the world. They have destroyed the entire Islamic Heritage in Saudi Arabia and are still destroying Islamic Heritage in other Muslim countries of the world. They are hand in glove with Zionists and are destroying Islamic countries one by one.
Their disrespect of Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) is well known to the whole world, to an extent that they built a public toilet on the Prophet's (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) house in Makka (Allahu Akbar). They have dug open over 60,000 pious graves of Ahle Bait and Sahaba in Arabian Peninsula and removed their pious bodies. Allahu Aalam, where they have thrown these bodies of how they have disposed them off.
They have invented Misyar and other kinds of marriages and regularized prostitution in the name of Islam.
They changed Ahadith books and have altered most of the literature of Islam.
They have destroyed Islam and have replaced it with Salafism in the world. They are enemies of Islam and Muslims. How can anyone give benefit of doubt to them and claim that they are Muslims with a corrupt belief?
It is in Quran - كَيْفَ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ قَوْمًا كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ وَشَهِدُوا أَنَّ الرَّسُولَ حَقٌّ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ - أُولَـٰئِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ أَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةَ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ (How shall Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) guide a people who disbelieved after their believing and (after) they had borne witness that the Apostle ( صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم ) was true and clear arguments had come to them; and Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) does not guide the unjust people. (As for) these, their reward is that upon them is the curse of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and the angels and of people all together.) (Ale Imran 86-87)Fatwa-e-Kufr on Wahhabis, Deobandis, Salafis and like minded Groups by 33 Shuyooks of Masjid-e-Nabawi Shareef headed by Mufti Shaikh Umar bin Hamadan al-Maharassee.
Thirty three prominent Ulama of Makkah and Medina issued Fatwa-e-Kufr, naming the individual leaders of Wahhabi/Deobandi, and like minded sects including Ashraf Ali Thanvi, Khalil Ahmed Ambetwi, Rashid Ahmed Gangohi Qassim Nanotvi, etc. The fatwa bears the signatures and seals of Ulama of Makka and Madina, and other Muftis and Islamic judges. This Fatwa was issued in 1900 (1320 AH) after years of study of Wahabis / Deobandis beliefs and their books. The Fatwa also says, "He who doubts that they are not kafirs, is himself a kafir.'' (Hisam al-Haramain, pages 100 - 113).Fatawa-e-Kufr on Wahhabis/Salafis by Shaikh As-Sawi al-MalikiShaikh Ahmad bin Muhammad as-Sawi al-Maliki (d 1241 AH) in his book "Hashiat al-Allama as-Sawi, which is part of Tafseer al-Jalalayn; in his Tafseer to Sura Fatir, verse # 6, called Wahhabis as "Hizbush-Shaytan who think they are following the truth but they are liars controlled by the devil. We pray Allah to bring an end to them".
Fatwa-e-Kufr on Wahhabis by Shaykh-ul-Islam Ahmad Zayni Dahlan al-Makki (1816-1886), Chief Mufti of Makka al-Mukarramah
Similar is the case with Shias and their like minded Groups. Shias' disrespect of Khulafa-e-Rashideen, and Sahabah is well known. Wide spread Muta (prostitution) in Shia society is also known to everyone. We all know, Shaikh Ahmad Sirhindi (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) spent his whole life opposing "Deen-e-Elahi" which is exactly like Ammanism of his time.Salafis and their like minded groups; Shias and their like minded groups, and Ammanis and their like minded groups; are covered under Shaik Sirhindi's definition of "Disbelievers" because they do not fulfill the minimum requirement of Iman. There cannot be two opinions in this context. Those who are trying to misinterpret Shaikh Ahmad Sirhindi's (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) statements are indeed enemies of Islam trying to spread Ammanism in the world.
Shaikh Ahmad Sirhindi (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) mentioned the Hadith of 73 sects in another letter # 80, Volume I, as follows:QUOTE - There is no doubt, whatsoever that the group that made conforming to the conduct of Sahabah necessary, that alone is the Ahle Sunnah wal Jama'a. UN QUOTEThe above statement of Shaikh Sirhindi (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) confirms the fact that only Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama'a are the Naji Group, who will be dwellers of Heaven. The rest 72 sects are dwellers of Hell.Ghowth al Azam (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) stated in the commentary of the 73 Sects Hadith in his famous book "Gunyat at Talibeen" (page 90) as follows:QUOTE - The believer should adapt himself to the Sunnah and to the Jama'ah. The Sunnah is the way shown by Rasulullah The Jama'ah is composed of the things done unanimously by the Sahabah al Karam (رضئ اللھ تعالی عنہم اجمعین ) who lived in the time of the four Khulafa ar Rashidin (رضئ اللھ تعالی عنہم اجمعین ) (and others in their path). A Muslim must prevent the multiplication of the men of bidd'ah and keep away from them, and should not greet them. Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, the Imam of our Madhhab (school of thought) said that greeting a man of bidd'ah meaning loving him since it had been declared in a Hadith - "Disseminate (your) greeting (salutation)! Love one another in this way". UNQUOTEGhowth al Azam (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) stated in the same book on page 143 as follows:QUOTE - The title Ahl as Sunnah, which the innovators have expressed for themselves is not appropriate for them. UNQUOTEWatch the seriousness of the 72 sects. Ghowth al Azam (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) is preventing Muslims even to greet them by a Islamic salutation (As salamu Alaikum). He is also confirming the fact that calling them as on the right path of Islam is not correct. Thus, the Ammani belief of declaring all 72 sects and their thousands of sub sects as Muslims is against the commandments of Quran and Sunnah. Also, Ammanis' declaration of Christians and Jews as "Believers" is also Kufr. Ammanis are not Muslims as they are part of deviated sects who are destined to go to Hell and stay in it eternally. (d) Some Ammanis quote the following Hadith and claim that since over 500 scholars signed Amman Message, it should be treated as Ijma (consensus) of Ulema that 72 deviant sects and their like minded sub groups; including Salafis, Shais, Ibadi Kharijis are true Muslims. In addition, Christians and Jews are also "believers" on par with Muslims. We have briefly discussed this Hadith, as follows:
It is in Hadith - رواه الترمذي - 2093، والحاكم - 1/199-200، وأبو نعيم في الحلية - 3/37 وأعله اللالكائي في السنة، وابن مندة، ومن طريقه الضياء عن ابن عمررضي الله عنهما - عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إن الله لا يجمع هذه الأمة على ضلالة أبداً، وإن يد الله مع الجماعة، فاتبعوا السواد الأعظم، فإن من شذ شذ في النار
[Ibn Omer (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) narrated: the Apostle Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) said - Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) will never let this (my) Ummah agree upon misguidance and the hand of Allah (سبحانہ و تعا لی) is over the group ( of Awliya Allah), so follow " السواد الأعظم " (the Pious Group of Believers - Awliya Allah / Sufi Shaikhs) and whoever dissents from them departs to Hell]. (Tirmidhi, al-Hakim)
Some people translate Arabic term 'السواد الأعظم' as 'largest Group, or the group of large number of Muslims. This translation has created a lot of confusion among Muslims. And every sect started claiming that they are السواد الأعظم (Ahle Sunnah wal Jama'a - the largest group). Even the hard-core Salafis also claim to be Ahle Sunnah.
The Arabic word الأعظم is generally used to describe 'the importance or greatness', rather than 'largeness'. Meaning, the term 'السواد الأعظم' denotes the preeminence or importance of the Group, rather than its largeness in terms of the number of people in it.
Like we say الإمام الأعظم (Imam al- Azam) or الغوث الأعظم (Ghawth al-Azam), or الوزير الأعظم (Wazir al-Azam). Similarly 'السواد الأعظم', means 'greatness or preeminence of the Group (Ahle Sunnah)'.
When we look at the wordings of the Hadith, it says follow السواد الأعظم (Sawad al-Azam); meaning follow the most pious group among Muslims. For following a Group, all its members should be pious.
If we take the meaning of السواد الأعظم (Sawad al-Azam) as the largest Group, then it is evident that all its members will not necessary be pious. How can we follow a group which is a mix of Fasiqeen (wrongdoers) as well as some good believers?
Therefore, only the group of Awliya Allah /Sufi Shaikhs of Ihsan qualify to be السواد الأعظم (Sawad al-Azam) as all its members are naturally pious by the grace of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ).
We are not talking here about 'fake Sufi babas' and 'illiterate peers' who hunt needy people and run their 'spiritual shops' to make a fast buck.
Some people may argue that some famous Scholars of Islam have translated the Arabic term السواد الأعظم (Sawad al-Azam) as Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama’a.
Indeed, the scholars and Imams were right in translating the term that way because the real Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama’a are Awliya Allah/Sufi Shaikhs of Ihsan. By following their foot steps, others can also try to be within the category of real Ahle Sunnah. [Meaning - Behold the friends of Allah ! On them shall come no fear, nor shall they grieve. These are they, who have believed in Allah and are mindful of (close to) Him and (have consequently abstained from everything evil). To them tidings come ( from Allah) of a happy life both in this world and in Hereafter. The word of Allah is never revoked. This in itself is a great felicity" (Younus - 62-64).
Awliya Allah are chosen people. Their Group is the only group which is referred to as السواد الأعظم (Sawad al-Azam) in the Hadith Tirmidhi we quoted above. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) has commanded that everyone of us should follow that Group and whosoever dissents, will be thrown in Hell fire.
We hope our readers must have understood the whole issue clearly. The following Hadith will clarify how Allah's (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) hand is on the Group of Awliya Allah.
It is in Hadith - “Whoever takes a Wali of Mine an enemy, I will wage war on him; and My slave will not perform any act with which he draws closer to Me, more beloved to Me then when he fulfills what I have ordained on him; and My salve will keep drawing closer to Me by performing the Nawafil (voluntary acts of worship) until I love him, and when I love him, I will be his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hands with which he strikes, and his legs with which he walks; and if he asks Me, I will give him; and if he seeks refuge with Me, I will grant him refuge” (Bukhari).
The emphasis on "Wali of mine" in the Hadith shows that Awliya Allah are chosen people and their Group should be followed by all of us.
It is a sad state of affairs that people belonging to all 72 deviant sects claim they are Ahle Sunnah, and all others should follow them. It is needless to say that these sects will realize their folly after their deaths.
In view of the above facts, it is wrong to interpret السواد الأعظم (Sawad al-Azam) as ‘large group’, or ‘the largest Jama’at’, or ‘large assembly of people’.
Sawad al-Azam السواد الأعظم is the Group of Awliya Allah / Sufi Shaikhs. People who follow this group are naturally part of Sawad al-Azam. There cannot be two opinions in this regard.
Awliya Allah walk on the path of Ihsan. Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) gives them vision and understanding with which they can see the facts of things. They are pious and knowledgeable. They help in purification of minds of the people (tazkia nafs); correct people’s notions, educate them about the inner values and significance of Islam and draw people’s attention towards Divine signs and secrets in the cosmos. They follow Prophet Mohammad’s (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) foot steps in propagation of Sahih Iman. And we all need to follow them to ensure our Salvation.
Ammanis have a strange logic. They claim that since 552 big and small scholars in the world have signed Amman Message, therefore it is Ijma, and as per the above Hadith, Ammanis are on the right path of Islam. When we do some research as to who are the people who have actually signed Amman Message, we realize that more than 99% of the signatories belong to Salafis, Shias, Ibaadi Kharijees and their like minded groups who were eager to legitimize their sect as true Muslims. Out of 552 signatories, there are only 5 scholars, who earlier claimed they were Ahle Sunnah, have signed the Amman Message and become Ammanis. Their names are (1) Taher Ul Qadri, (2) Abdullah Al-Harari Al-Habashi, (3) Ali Zain Al-Abidin Al-Jifri, (4) Hamza Yusuf Hanson, (5) Abdal Hakim Murad, and (6) Nuh Ha Mim Keller (He has converted himself into Deobandis). We all know, there are hundreds of thousands of Ahle Sunnah Ulema / scholars in the world who have stayed away from Amman Message conspiracy. Out of 552, scholars who signed Amman Message, 547 belonged to 72 deviant Sects. Only 5 self declared Ahle Sunnah scholars have signed Amman Message. Why and under what circumstances they signed the message, is best known to them. Detailed information about Amman Message and its signatories is provided on their official Website. It is needless to say that once a scholar signs and attests Amman Message in writing, he becomes an Ammani for all practical purposes.
We have provided below three important points of Global Sahih Iman Message for our readers. These points are in conformity with Quran and Prophet's By following Global Sahih Iman Message we remain Muslims. At the same time we can achieve unity and progressive co-existence with the followers of all Sects.
If you follow Amman Message, you enter into a new Universal Religion "Ammanism" which is away from Islam.
Propagators of Amman Message, should follow what has been sent down from Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and desist from following their others.
It is in Quran - اتَّبِعُوا مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا مِن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۗ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ [ O people, follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and do not follow other Awliyaas besides Him. But you seldom take Admonition. ] (Al-Araf - 3 )
THREE POINTS OF
GLOBAL SAHIH IMAN MESSAGE
We have provided below three points of Global Sahih Iman Message. We have also provided the three points of Amman Message, side by side, for people to compare and distinguish the truth from falsehood. If they adhere to Sahih Iman Message, Insha Allah, they will ensure their salvation in Hereafter.
The choice is yours. If you accept, it is ok, and if you do not accept, it is also ok. Our job is to convey Ilm-e-Sahih, in the light of Quran and Ahadith.
Readers will note that the three points of Amman Message, as propagated on their official Website, are academic in nature. General readers will find it confusing since they are unaware of the terms used. To help our readers, we have provided a gist below every point of Amman Message.
THREE POINTS OF AMMAN MESSAGE COMPARED WITH THREE POINTS OF GLOBAL SAHIH IMAN MESSAGE
AMMAN MESSAGE - POINT # 1
Whosoever is an adherent to one of the four Sunni schools (Mathahib) of Islamic jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi`i and Hanbali), the two Shi’i schools of Islamic jurisprudence (Ja`fari and Zaydi), the Ibadi school of Islamic jurisprudence and the Thahiri school of Islamic jurisprudence, is a Muslim. Declaring that person an apostate is impossible and impermissible. Verily his (or her) blood, honour, and property are inviolable. Moreover, in accordance with the Shaykh Al-Azhar’s fatwa, it is neither possible nor permissible to declare whosoever subscribes to the Ash`ari creed or whoever practices real Tasawwuf (Sufism) an apostate. Likewise, it is neither possible nor permissible to declare whosoever subscribes to true Salafi thought an apostate.
Equally, it is neither possible nor permissible to declare as apostates any group of Muslims who believes in God, Glorified and Exalted be He, and His Messenger (may peace and blessings be upon him) and the pillars of faith, and acknowledges the five pillars of Islam, and does not deny any necessarily self-evident tenet of religion.
(The essence of the above point is, followers of all 73 sects and hundreds of their sub groups, are all true Muslims, irrespective of their contrasting beliefs).
GLOBAL SAHIH IMAN MESSAGE - POINT # 1
Muslim Ummah is divided into many Groups and Sects. And we know, as per authentic Ahadith-e-Nabawi (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), only one Group is on the right path of Islam. Therefore, it is important for all of us to look for that right path in a rational way, in the light of Quran and Ahadith. This is the essential requirement for our salvation in Hereafter.
We cannot tress pass the commandments of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and His Apostle Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) by declaring that schools of thought of all sect are Islamic. If we do that, we will be adding a new sect (Ammanis) in Muslims, who claim that all 73 sects and their sub groups are Muslims, and no one was allowed to do takfeer of any of them, irrespective of their objectionable un-Islamic beliefs.
Being Muslims, our emphasis should be on our Welfare in Hereafter, while we should not loose focus of our welfare in this world. If we close our eyes and ears and convince ourselves that what we believe is correct, then we are afraid, 99% of our people will be thrown in Hell Fire on the Day of Judgment. And this will be a cause of grief to our Prophet
As far as Muslims' welfare in this world is concerned, we should work with the spirit of cooperation and productive co-existence in sharing resources of the world. All Muslim Groups should work together for the welfare of Ummah without any discrimination on the basis of our Group identities. While we cannot stop people from expressing their opinions in religious issues, we should encourage them to avoid personal attacks as far as possible. Their focus should be to spread the message of love between all sects and groups of Muslims.
AMMAN MESSAGE - POINT # 2There exists more in common between the various schools of Islamic jurisprudence than there is difference between them. The adherents to the eight schools of Islamic jurisprudence are in agreement as regards the basic principles of Islam. All believe in Allah (God), Glorified and Exalted be He, the One and the Unique; that the Noble Qur’an is the Revealed Word of God; and that our master Muhammad, may blessings and peace be upon him, is a Prophet and Messenger unto all mankind. All are in agreement about the five pillars of Islam: the two testaments of faith (shahadatayn); the ritual prayer (salat); almsgiving (zakat); fasting the month of Ramadan (sawm), and the Hajj to the sacred house of God (in Mecca). All are also in agreement about the foundations of belief: belief in Allah (God), His angels, His scriptures, His messengers, and in the Day of Judgment, in Divine Providence in good and in evil. Disagreements between the ‘ulama (scholars) of the eight schools of Islamic jurisprudence are only with respect to the ancillary branches of religion (furu`) and not as regards the principles and fundamentals (usul) [of the religion of Islam]. Disagreement with respect to the ancillary branches of religion (furu`) is a mercy. Long ago it was said that variance in opinion among the ‘ulama (scholars) “is a good affair”. (The essence of the above point is, whoever orally recites Shahadah is a true Muslim, and he/she should be treated as such. No one can declare anyone belonging to any Sect as out of Islam)
GLOBAL SAHIH IMAN MESSAGE - POINT # 2
Iman is to believe in heart. Our belief (Iman) depends on our understanding and resultant intention. The irony is that our verbal rhetoric is common, meaning we all recite Shahadah, but our beliefs in fundamentals (usul) and ancillaries (furu) are widely different from each other. While the differences in furu are tolerable, it is our differences in fundamental (usul) that puts us apart from each other, and distinguishes a Muslim from a Munafiq (or Kafir). This is the reason, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) cautioned us that out of 73 Sects, only one Group is on the right path and the rest 72 are the dwellers of Hell.
It is important that every one of us strives to walk on the right path of Islam. We should not close our eyes thinking that what we believe is correct. Since Sahih Iman is the primary requirement for our salvation, everyone of us has an individual personal responsibility to look for Sahih Iman (Correct Islamic Faith) to ensure his/her salvation.
AMMAN MESSAGE - POINT # 3Acknowledgement of the schools of Islamic jurisprudence (Mathahib) within Islam means adhering to a fundamental methodology in the issuance of fatwas: no one may issue a fatwa without the requisite personal qualifications which each school of Islamic jurisprudence determines [for its own adherents]. No one may issue a fatwa without adhering to the methodology of the schools of Islamic jurisprudence. No one may claim to do unlimited Ijtihad and create a new school of Islamic jurisprudence or to issue unacceptable fatwas that take Muslims out of the principles and certainties of the Shari`ah and what has been established in respect of its schools of jurisprudence. The essence of the above point is, when all schools of thoughts are considered truthful, then no one can issue a Fatwa against anyone, claiming that person as out of Islam. Also, there are preconditions and qualifications required for a person to issue Fatawas.
GLOBAL SAHIH IMAN MESSAGE - POINT # 3
You cannot force people to acknowledge and accept all schools of thought of all Muslim Sects as truthful. Islam respects free will of people and rejects outside influence or compulsion in matters of religion.
It is in Quran - لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ ۖ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ ۚ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىٰ لَا انفِصَامَ لَهَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ [ Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth has been made clear from error. Whoever rejects false worship and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that never breaks. And Allah hears and knows all things.] (Al-Baqara - 256)
Therefore no one can compel a person to believe in all schools of thought as Islamic. Ammanis claim that all schools of thoughts of all sects are truthful Islam. This is wrong. Read the following, it will clarify the issue in detail.
(1) Accepting Salafi ideology of a physical body for Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) is absolute shirk. You cannot force Ahle Sunnah to believe that this is true Islam.
(2) Accepting Shia Sahadah, as truthful, is an act of Kufr for Ahle Sunnah.SHIA SHAHADAH - There is no god but Allah, (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ), Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) is the Messenger of Allah; Ali ( رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) is the Friend of Allah; the successor of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) and his first Caliph".The above Shahadah implies that one has to believe that Hadhrat Ali ( رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) was the successor of Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) and the first rightful Caliph of Islam. This way one has to deny the Caliphate of three rightful Caliphs of Islam as wrong. The Shia Shahadah also implies that the three rightful Caliphs (رضئ اللھ تعالی عنہم اجمعین ) were wrong doers (Nauzubillahi) because they took up Caliphate usurping the right of Hadhrat Ali ( رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ). (3) Accepting Ammanis' claim that all 73 Sects are truthful Muslims is an act of Kufr for Ahle Sunnah. Because Ammanis are in direct opposition and confrontation with Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and His Apostle's (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) commandments.
THE FINAL WORD
It is proved from authentic Ahadith that out of 73 sects, 72 are the dwellers of Hell; therefore, if you impose on Muslims to acknowledge all schools of thoughts as truthful Islam, it will mean that you are taking the one Naji group also out of Islamic fold. This action of Amman Message will ensure that the entire Muslim Ummah will be thrown into Hell flames on the Day of Judgment.
Dear Ammani brothers, this is no service to Islam. You are replacing Islam with Ammanism (Universal religion), and also ensuring Hell for all Muslims. Whatever may be your political compulsions like that of Emperor Akbar of India, please spare the Muslim Ummmah. Remember you have to show your faces to Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) tomorrow.
There is no need to declare everyone as truthful Muslim. There is no scope for a new school of thought in Islam. Do not take the authority in your own hands. Leave this to Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) to decide on the day of Judgment as to who was on the right path of Islam and who had gone astray.
Our scholars should be encouraged to refrain from issuing Fatawas based on personal hatred; which may trigger Group violence and tribulation (Fitnah) in Muslim society.
It is in Quran - وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ (And Fitnah is graver than Murder) (Al-Baqara 217).
There is a need to grow awareness among Muslim on the above issues.
Ammanism versus Islam Part (2)
